Stock > Transfers > Int./Ext. store transfers

Use this screen to perform mass stock transfers, based on stock coverage criteria, from one store to another store qualified as “external”.

An external store is not authorized on output. It can represent a logistical service provider or a remote store, in other words, a storage area where it is not possible to carry out preparation tasks.

This feature can also be used to reintegrate stock based on the same criteria.

In the case where the remote store has the capacity to manage flows independently, a storage site needs to be created.

The transfer movement is validated by another function: Transfer/replenishment validation

From its creation, the movement creates an output movement from its original location, and an input movement in its destination location. It must be validated to delete the movements in progress.

A transfer movement includes a status.

This function is based on the following elements:

  • Minimum stock, maximum stock and alert stock of the product record
  • External store: An external store is not authorized on output.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Block number 1

The movement code is used to make the distinction between movements of the same type.
It is required when creating:

  • An expected input
  • A supplier input
  • A factory input
  • A customer return
  • A DO
  • An adjustment
  • A transfer
  • A consumable input/output

The movement code is checked against the movement code table.

  • Date (field DAT)

Creation date of the transaction.

  • Time (field TIM)

Creation hour of the transaction.

Transfers

  • field SNS

Stipulates if the transfers must occur to the internal or

the external store.

Stores

Store not blocked on output, of main or single-location type.
In fact, it is the store where stocks will be reintegrated in case of transfer to an internal store (stock return), or the store from which stocks will be taken in case of transfer to an external store.

A so-called external "surplus" store is a store not authorized on output. It can represent a logistical service provider or a remote store, in other words, a storage area where it is not possible to carry out preparation tasks.

Options

  • Number of mvts (field NBRTRF)

  • Maximum number (field MAXTRF)

(Modifiable) value indicating the maximum number of transfer movements that the system can create for a transfer.
For instance: if the stock objects are pallets, the number of movements can be equal to the maximum number of pallets supported by the handling or transport means to move from one store to another.
