Outputs > Waves > Merging of flows > Launch (step 2)

It is possible to launch the second phase of the 'merging of flows’ type waves.

The system will be able to:
- determine the stock objects to be issued from stock in the allocation stores, create the picking orders, the parcels, as well as the reports necessary for the picking and shipment.
- simulate one or several launches of the second wave phase so as to detect the number of POs and the parcels.

Important note : the 'merging of flows' picking does not manage the single lot on output. A DO line with the flag "Single lot" will be managed as a normal DO line with merging of flows.

Screen management

The screen is made up of a single grid presenting the "merging of flows" waves pending the launch of the second preparation phase (wave with status 4-Pending 2nd phase).

Entry screen

Presentation

For each wave to be launched of the second preparation phase, the number of DOs, the number of DO lines, the weight and volume of the wave are displayed.

One or several waves can be selected with the mouse or via right-click of the mouse and by means of the options "Check all" or "Uncheck all".

The checkbox "Simulation" is used to switch from a wave launch mode (by default) to the simulation mode where all data are deleted further to the processing.

On launching the second phase of the wave, the following processings are run:
- Generation of the output movements of the allocation stores
- Prepacking of the output movements in case of DO in prepacking preparation mode.
- Generation of the picking orders
- Generation of the temporary DNs if the output configuration requires a temporary DN.

Reports are only generated in a processing context (and not a simulation context):
- the POs are usually printed on the laser type printer set up in the preparation area and based on the preparation mode of the DO,
- the parcel labels are printed on the thermal printer of the preparation area and based on the setup of the output configuration of the current depositor and according to the DO preparation mode.
- the temporary delivery notes as well as the packing lists are printed on the laser type printer set up in the preparation area according to the DO preparation order and the output configuration of the current depositor.
- The picking load document is printed based on the output configuration of the current depositor as well as the shortage list of the wave.

In case of addressing problem, Warehousing displays an anomaly report that describes the reason for the faulty addressing for each DO.

Following the launch of the first phase and the automatic validation of the transfer orders, it is possible to launch the second phase of the "merging of flows"-type waves in automatic mode based on the setup of the output configuration.

  • Creation (field CREDAT)

  • Mission to block (field MSNLOK)

When launching a wave, this parameter is used to force the creation of associated missions with status '6-blocked', thus ignoring the mission setup at site level.

SEEINFO This setup only concerns missions with a picking type (PKOMVT, PKOPRC and PKOSHP) and missions with a merging of flows transfer type (TRFMERG). All the other mission types will apply the setup of the missions.

  • Priority (field MSNPIO)

This parameter is used, when launching a wave, to create the associated missions with the priority defined for the wave instead of the priority defined on the mission types (see mission parameters).

SEEINFO This setup only concerns missions with a picking type (PKOMVT, PKOPRC and PKOSHP) and missions with a merging of flows transfer type (TRFMERG). All the other mission types will apply the setup of the missions.

Block number 2

  • Simulation (field SIM)

Used to move from the actual mode (by default) to the simulation mode, where all the data are deleted further to the processing.

  • Detailed log file (field TRA)

Used to display the log (progress) of the program at the end of the processing.
