Serial Numbers
This option is used to enter the serial numbers in receipt.
Serial numbers can be managed in two different ways in Warehousing GX, and this function is used for full traceability management.
As long as the entry of serial numbers in an input line has not been completed, the input line will not be addressed in stock.
An inquiry screen for the serial numbers in stock is also available.
This functionality is available from G2 version.

Screen management
The table displayed lists the input lines that need a serial number with a report lower than 4-Addressed.
Two types of display are possible:
- The "Key in incomplete serial no." field is selected by default: the displayed input lines correspond to the lines in which the serial numbers have not all been entered.
- The "Key in complete serial no." check box is used to display the input lines not addressed in which all of the serial numbers have been entered.

Serial number entry/modification
Click on the Actions menu and choose the "Serial number entry" option.
If serial numbers have already been entered, they are displayed and can be modified.
The duplicate column shows the number of duplicates for the combination (product/serial number) that have been entered for different inputs.
It is not possible to enter a serial number greater than the input line CU total.

This button is used to select Direct input lines that need serial numbers from DI criteria, DI reference, DI line no., DI line reference, product code and container. |
This button is used to update the serial number table in case of setup change for the product serial number management. |
Error messages
In addition to the generic error messages, the following messages can appear during the entry :
Serial number not yet out
The input line where a serial number is entered is of customer return type. The systems checks for the serial number in the serial number table and cannot find it.
Code already exists on line XX
The serial number entered for the line is not unique.
