Stock > Quality control > Quality control

This function is used to perform the quality control of an Analysis Request (AR). There are 4 different quality control procedures:

  • Quality control without sampling and without quality record
  • Quality control without sampling and with quality record
  • Quality control with sampling and without quality record
  • Quality control with sampling and with quality record

Principle of the quality control without sampling: in this specific case, the operator will check all the parts on the AR and qualify them each in turn (complying, non-complying, consumed parts).

Principle of the quality control with sampling: in this specific case, the operator will only check some of the parts on the AR, referred to as "sample". The size of this sample is determined based on the ISO 2859 standard and it is dependent on the total part number on the AR. The operator will qualify this sample by specifying the number of complying and non-complying parts (among which x consumed parts). According to the standard (based on the sample size, the NQA parameter of the item record and the declared number of non-complying parts), the system will qualify the sample as Accepted or Rejected.

  • If the sample is Accepted, all the parts on the AR are accepted.
  • If the sample is Rejected, all the parts on the AR are rejected and given the Scrap nature.

Screen management

There are 4 different quality control procedures:

  • Quality control without sampling and without quality record:

Further to the physical control of all the parts on the AR, the operator goes to the stock objects to enter the control detail (quantity split and positioning of the requested natures such as scrap, consumed or others), saves it and confirms the end of the control.

  • Quality control without sampling and with quality record:

for each controlled SO, the operator enters the corresponding quality record.

Once this quality record has been fully completed, the operator can enter the control detail for the SO, then save it and confirm the end of the control.

  • Quality control with sampling and without quality record:

Further to the physical control of the parts of the sample, the operator enters the complying, non-complying and consumed quantities.

Based on the standard, the system specifies if the sample is accepted or rejected and positions the corresponding natures by default on the SOs (none if accepted, scrap nature if rejected).

The operator can enter the detail of the control on the SOs if they need to mention consumed parts and if they need to give a specific nature (of general type) to some parts, like for instance, when the control has been completed, to be able to address these parts to a specific store.

  • Quality control with sampling and with quality record:

Further to the physical control of the parts of the sample, the operator completes the quality record (including the complying, non-complying and consumed quantities).

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Numerical sequence automatically assigned by the system upon creation of the analysis request. This number features an information specific to the system, all depositors included. This piece of information features a unique access key to an analysis request.

  • Reference (field REF)

  • Date (field DAT)

  • Status (field QLYSTA)

The various statuses of an analysis request encountered during a quality control procedure are:

  • 1- Pending quality control
  • 7- Pending validation
  • 9- validated/completed

Code used to identify the store. This code is controlled in the store table.

Fields

The following fields are present on this tab :

Block number 1

Product code defined in the GEODE product table.

Numerical sequence automatically assigned by the system upon validation of the Input header. This number features an information specific to the system, all depositors included. This piece of information features a unique access key to a Direct Input.

  • Auto addressing (field ALLQLYAUT)

When the flag is triggered, the controlled automatic stock addressing is carried out upon validation/closing of an Analysis Request: the transfers from the quality store to the stock are created automatically.

General information

  • Lot no. (field LOT)

Lot concerned by the return.

The quality sheet is used to record two types of information:

  • the text describing the control process or the operating mode.
  • a set of questions/answers in order to introduce a parameter entry during quality control.
The supplied answers can be contolled by means of predefined values.
  • Closing date (field CLODAT)

Closure date for the analysis request.

  • Sampling type (field SMPTYP)

Used to trigger the quality control with sampling: if the configuration is set to "simple", a sample to be controlled will be automatically calculated according to the parameters of the sampling plan. Otherwise, the quality control will concern the received quantity as a whole.

  • Total CU/STK quantity (field TOTQTY)

  • field UOMSYM

  • General level of inspection (field GENLEVINS)
  • AQL (field NQA)

Acceptable Quality Level: used to calculate the number of non-complying parts based on which the controlled sample is considered to be discarded.

Sampling

  • Sample size in CU/STK (field SMP)

This field mentions the size of the sample in CUs for an analysis request with sampling. This size is specified as per the ISO 2859 standard and dependent on the size of the full lot and the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) sampling product parameter.

  • field UOMSYM1

  • Status (field WSMPSTA)

Specifies the sample status further to the quality control:

  • Not qualified: no control has been carried out.
  • Accepted: the sample is considered to be compliant.
  • Rejected: the sample is considered to be non-compliant.

Grid Objects

  • field NBLIG

  • No. cntr. (field CTRSMP)

The term Container encompasses the type and code of the container.

  • CU/STK no. by cnt (field CTRCOE)
  • STK (field UOMSYM2)

Quantities

  • Number of complying parts (field ALLQTY)

  • For an analysis request without sampling, it is the number of complying parts of the whole lot.
  • For an analysis request with sampling, it is the number of complying parts of the sample.

  • Number of non-complying parts (field DILQTY)

  • For an analysis request without sampling, it is the number of non-complying parts of the whole lot.
  • For an analysis request with sampling, it is the number of non-complying parts of the sample.

  • Number of parts used (field USEQTY)

  • For an analysis request without sampling, it is the number of consumed parts of the whole lot.
  • For an analysis request with sampling, it is the number of consumed parts among the non-complying parts of the sample.
