This parameter defines if the estimated progress of a project or a project budget is to be entered manually or calculated automatically.


Manual entry or calculated - This is the default value for this parameter. The estimated progress of a project or budget can be entered as a percentage figure manually, or it can be calculated automatically by clicking a Refresh icon in the project or the cost structure respectively.

Manual entry - The estimated progress percentage of a project and budget must be entered manually.

Calculated - The estimated progress percentage of a project or budget is calculated automatically by clicking a Refresh icon in the project or the cost structure respectively.

The field associated with this parameter in the project and in the cost structure is the Estimated progress (%) field (PRCCPL).

  • Estimated progress of a project: If the Estimated progress (%) field is calculated automatically, an SQL query compares the budget for the project to the total expenses recorded against the project to obtain this value.
  • Estimated progress of a budget: If the Estimated progress (%) field is calculated automatically, an SQL query compares the budget with the total expenses recorded against the budget to obtain this value.

ESTPRGINIT - Estimated project progress initialization parameter (TC chapter, PJM group). You use this parameter to define the SQL query that is to be executed to initialize the project Estimated progress (%) field each time the estimated project progress percentage is refreshed.

ESTPRBINIT - Estimated budget progress initialization parameter (TC chapter, PJM group). You use this parameter to define the SQL query that is to be executed to initialize the budget Estimated progress (%) field each time the estimated budget progress percentage is refreshed.
