General parameters > Chapter Common Data > Parameter PJMTIMENT (Time entry control phase)

This parameter defines if a "control" phase for new time entry lines is in place in your organization.

Mandatory - A "control" phase for new time entry lines is mandatory. Validated time entry lines must be manually reviewed and processed by an authorized user through a "control" stage to the Controlled status. Time entry record control is usually carried out by a project manager or a project administrator. Only when a time entry line is at Controlled status can it then be advanced to Approved status and posted against a project.

Not mandatory - Validated time entry lines can be advanced by an authorized time entry administrator to Approved (or Rejected) status immediately. A "control" phase for new time entry lines is not required.
